Французский техно диджей и продюсер Gesaffelstein буквально на днях (прим. — оригинал статьи датируется 20 июня 2013) выложил в сеть видео на свой первый сингл “Pursuit» («Преследование»), из своего нового альбома, выход которого предварительно ожидается в конце этого года.

Сингл от Gesaffelstein выпустила звукозаписывающая компания Bromance Records, — независимый лейбл Brodinski и Manu Barron. Кроме того, 28-летний продюсер из Лиона также выпустил и крутое видео на свой трек.

Режиссерами выступили Fleur & Manu (которые, кстати, уже режессировали и M83). Видео получилось довольно красивым и в тоже время вводящим зрителя в замешательство.Спокойно-гладкая (словно полный штиль на воде) операторская работа (плавное движение камеры назад от центра событий) контрастирует с достаточно яркими, жесткими и провокационными картинами в действии.

Все это очень гармонично укладывается с музыкальным рядом — высоко энергичным техно звучанием композиции. Все визуальное действо происходит в среде странных событии окруженных обстановкой викторианских домов и ангаров. А насилие, ненависть и ярость выходят из самих персонажей.

Почему это один из постов, посвященный лишь одной композиции и одному клипу? Потому что это один из тех редких случаев, когда видео является шедевром и, скажу Вам честно, оторваться от просмотра даже на долю секунды, пока не увидишь его до конца практически невозможно. Крутое видео, крутая музыка! Приятного =)

Part I: The Pursuit of Power (0:01)
A young prince and princess were once inseparable and full of idealism for the future of their Kingdom. Their bond begins breaking when the Prince discovers a true means to Power. In his pursuit of this new found power, the Prince alienates the Princess who can sense the power’s dangerous influence over him. The Prince finally becomes King of his court. Knowing the changed nature of the corrupted Prince, the Princess inwardly mourns for the Kingdom’s future.

Part II: The Corruption of Power (0:30)
The new King begins mobilizing the resources of his Kingdom to develop advanced technologies for warfare, surveillance and expansion. He eventually marries a Queen from another Kingdom which further consolidates his influence. Transforming his Kingdom into a technologically advanced, militaristic regime he aggressively expands eventually becoming a feared, yet greatly idolized Conqueror.

Part III: The Usurpation of Power (1:00)
Growing increasingly hedonistic and distant from direct involvement in the rulership of his Kingdom, the King carries on a string of sordid love affairs with woman lusting for his Power. In the absence of his leadership, the military-industrial complex he created begins to pursue its own interests, developing increasingly destructive technologies and studying the populace to learn new ways to integrate them into their plans.

Part IV: The Death of Power (2:37)
The King’s noble sibling, the Princess, dies having lost all hope for the future of the Kingdom and the redemption of her brother, the King. The King’s young son, the new Prince, having been close to his aunt, the Princess, realizes the corruption of his father. Refusing to inherit the King’s legacy of death, he relinquishes the Power to the military industrial complex. His dynasty broken, the King eventually dies alone, abandoned, and in regret.
